Dorothy Day Center Extended Hours Program
The Dorothy Day Center in downtown St. Paul provides homeless people and families with basic necessities and offers resources that give hope for a better future. The overnight emergency shelter provides a hospitable environment while upholding the dignity of people in need. The Extended Hours Program initially was designed to offer shelter to 150 adults. Most nights, about 200 people sleep on mats, and 42 women sleep in a shelter upstairs.
