This is an historic opportunity for Minnesota to move forward with bold initiatives that will lift thousands of our neighbors out of poverty.

The Commission has worked on a package of recommendations in three focus areas: economic self-sufficiency, building financial and developmental assets and removing barriers (social and structural).

Legislative Direction:
  • Implement the recommendations of the Poverty Commission over the next five to 10 years
