Can you volunteer to grocery shop, provide transportation or simply spend time with an isolated elderly person in your neighborhood for one to four hours a week? Need is especially great in Scott and Carver counties and Bloomington.
Our holiday programs need volunteers willing to spread holiday cheer by delivering gifts to the elderly. Volunteers must have energy, some free time and a working vehicle to deliver gifts to elderly clients who are unable to pick up gifts donated to them through our holiday programs.
A group of five to seven adults are needed to purchase, prepare and serve breakfast for 175 - 200 homeless or near-homeless adults at Branch III in Minneapolis. Arrive by 6:15 a.m. and clean-up will be done by 8 a.m. Cost will be approximately $180 - $200. Assistance with meal planning and kitchen staff support will be provided.
Support Branch II Food Shelf in Minneapolis by greeting and checking in clients, stocking and cleaning the food shelf. Lifting up to 50 lbs. may be required. Shifts are weekdays, 12 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
