Northside Child Development Center received one of the top scores for its Strong Beginnings early childhood education program, according to a recent Hennepin County report.
Northside scored 97 percent, making it one of the top-rated programs for the fifth consecutive year. Children who attend Northside consistently score higher on kindergarten readiness tests than other kindergartners.
Children who attend early childhood education programs are more likely to be ready for kindergarten, stay in school and succeed later in life. Northside partners with parents to prepare preschoolers for kindergarten by promoting school readiness and parent engagement in children’s education.
After children begin elementary school, they continue to attend Northside for after-school educational programming. The rich learning environment and services such as health care and parent education for the entire family help children thrive.
